The Half Day Fly Fishing Experience is a 4-hour guided session. Anglers receive hands-on instruction in casting, reading water, and fly selection, followed by guided fishing time to apply what they’ve learned. All gear and equipment are provided, making this an ideal option for beginners who want more time and confidence on the river.
The Fly Fishing 101 Experience is a 6-hour introductory session designed for new anglers that want to learn the basics and get some extra fishing in. You’ll receive hands-on instruction in casting, reading the water, and choosing flies, then practice those skills with guided fishing time with the provided equipment. No prior experience is needed, and all gear is provided. This trip is perfect for new anglers looking to build confidence and enjoy a relaxed introduction to fly fishing with some extra fly fishing time.
The Full Day Fly Fishing Experience offers a complete 8-hour guided day on the river, giving beginners the most immersive introduction to fly fishing. This trip includes casting fundamentals, reading water, and fly selection—along with extended guided fishing time to refine skills and build confidence. With a full day on the water and guidance, this option provides the best opportunity for new anglers to land their first fish. All gear and equipment are included.
5 Days before the trip, a guide will reach out to you with the exact meeting location, as well as an information packet about the specific river you'll be fishing on. Any weather concerns will be discussed and plans will be finalized.
Our guide will meet you at the agreed upon location on the agreed upon time. Our guide will need to see and document (take a photo of) your valid fishing license as well as receive the outstanding balance owed for the trip. Furthermore, our guides will go over a quick safety brief and make sure you have signed our liability waivers to ensure a safe trip! Once all this is completed we will head out to the water.
The first focus of our trip will be the basics of casting (It's Not As Hard As You Think!!). Once you're able to place the fly where you need to, we'll explain what we're looking at on the river and teach you how to analyze the water just like a guide. That way you leave our lesson able to cast and find fish all on your own! Following this, we'll do our best to help you land your first trout (sometimes they just aren't hungry so we can't promise this part).
After the trip our guide will recap the experience with you . You will be offered a chance to take home the equipment you used at retail value so you can fish on your own with equipment you're comfortable with (no shopping necessary!). Furthermore, you can leave your information with our guide to receive any photos or videos they took of your day!
